Drink Pitch Mingle - Community MeetUp |

On Sunday, March 25th, we had a great community MeetUp. In a Tel Aviv bar, dozens of community members, entrepreneurs, students, industry professionals from Israel and abroad all met to mingle and network over beer and listened to pitches from our community startups. In case you missed te event we would like to give you a peek at them: Arbel Vigodni from Zzapp Malaria presented their app that maximizes the efficiency of malaria campaigns by providing easy to use monitoring tools. You can learn more about their app in this video Hanan Lepek from Senecio introduced new technology for airborne sterile mosquito release that can eliminate populations of mosquitos carrying diseases such as malaria. Diane Abensur from Nanosynex presented their technology that identifies bacterialresistance to antibiotics in 4 hours, much faster than the current test.
Amit Savaya, a Ph.D. student from Ben Gurion university shared his research on prawns that can reduce the spread of bilharzia parasites which affect over 200 million people in the developing world.
Max Simonovsky from Soapy introduced an innovative technology that brings hygienic hand washing to places without clean water and can help prevent diseases caused by lack of hygiene conditions |

On March 19th we held a recruitment event together with the Israeli MOF and the World Bank. More than 100 people came to hear Mr. Dr. Geremie Sawadogo, head of recruitment in the World Bank and his team. Interesting fact, last year only 9 Israelis applied for an internship in the World Bank, out of 9,000 applications. In case you missed the event you can find the presentation on our website. |

Biofeed develops spray-free solutions for fruit fly control. Biofeed holds 10% of the market In Israel. In 2015 Biofeed won a Grand Challenges Israel grant to develop a solution to India's #1 pest, the Oriental fruit fly, which currently causes over $ 3 billion damage to India's $ 9.2 billion mango industry. Biofeed's 2017 field results (Karnataka, India) presented a 90% reduction of fruit infestation. Hence, Biofeed became the first and only company to have a solution for that pest.
